Departamento de Matemática y Física Aplicadas of the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción (UCSC) and researchers of CI²MA, Jessika Camaño y Luis Gatica, together with the researcher of CI²MA, Gabriel N. Gatica, is a permanent recognition of the academic background of Professor Hubert Mennickent, who for many years has been a great motivator, promoter and manager of several initiatives that have been in direct benefit of the development of Applied Mathematics, first in the Universidad de Concepción, and more recently at UCSC. The objective of this event is to offer a monthly conference, usually during the first week, by leading national and foreign scientists, in some subject within the scope of Mathematics or its Applications.
